Tipp24 AG: two new members of the Executive Board
Founder Jens Schumann appointed Chairman of Executive Board
Effective 1 April 2008, the Supervisory Board of Tipp24 AG has decided to expand the Executive Board with the addition of two new seats. The expansion reflects the growth and strategic alignment of the Group. There will also be a reallocation of responsibilities.
Marcus Geiß (37), General Manager of Tipp24’s Italian subsidiary Puntogioco24 since 2003 and Head of Corporate Development since mid 2007, will be the Executive Board member with responsibility for Corporate Development and more recent foreign business. Geiß will focus increasingly on Tipp24’s future markets.
Petra von Strombeck (38) was hired by the Group in November 2007 as Head of Marketing. In future, she will be the Executive Board member with responsibility for Marketing, which is also to be expanded internationally.
The founder and Executive Board member Jens Schumann (34) will assume the newly created position of Chairman of the Executive Board as of March 31, 2008. Schumann will also be responsible for the areas of Strategy, Lobbying and Public Relations.
Dr. Hans Cornehl (40), who has been with Tipp24 since 2002 and mainly responsible for finance, has been appointed Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board. Dr. Cornehl will also be responsible for the HR and Technology divisions and for the Spanish market.
